Time to get back on a two stroke; riding for TBR, team Beale Roberts off we set for the prestigious Goodwood Members Meeting.

The Yamaha TZ350 was immaculately prepared and never missed a beat all weekend.

BSBK R.5
10th / 11th March 2017

Time to go back to Bahrain to try and recover some points in my championship campaign.

I was going to have to ride hard, hope for no mechanical gremlins and try to accumulate enough points to recover my runner up spot in the championship overall

Thanks as always to my generous personal sponsors whose support has kept me racing throughout the winter, and given me the opportunity to try something new.

BSBK R.2 - 2nd December 2016

Thanks to the continued support of my generous sponsors, I was able to return to the Gulf for another run round on the Ducati 899.

A long stint working for Royal Enfield in Spain meant that we went directly back to Bahrain from Barcelona for the second round of the Championship.

Thanks to a few generous sponsors and supporters, I was able to jump on a plane and go to Bahrain.

As luck would have it, there was a Ducati track day on the Saturday, and then the official test day the following Friday. It made sense to stay out for the week, ride the two track configurations, and make up my mind whether I fancied racing the championship...

I'd like to go out to Bahrain to take part in their Superbike championship. It's a 'turn up and race' one make series, Ducati 899s, starts in October - 6 rounds, two races at each event. Click the logo above for more info.

To take part I'm going to need to rustle up some serious funds - as usual I'll be doing race reports and event videos so, if you'd like to be part of my team for the Bahrain Superbike Championship you can sponsor me easily by clicking here:

Spa Francorchamps with Alf's Motorcycles

15th - 16th April 2016

Off back to my most favourite'ist circuit in the world.

After success at her CMRC debut at Croft, Nancy goes off to Cadwell to see if she can do the same; check out what happened at the weekend by clicking the link on the left.

You can find out more about the 'Nancy' project and visit the websites of the companies that have supported her, by clicking the logo above to visit the dedicated website, and perhaps while you're there make a contribution to the project - then you can have a 1 in 100 chance to own her for 65.

Nancy's debut
7th - 8th May - Croft

If you are in the area, why not come to Croft and meet Nancy in person.

It has been a labour of love getting this girl ready to go racing.

I'd like to thank the 60 contributors to date, who have put their faith in the project before they saw any results on track; not forgetting all the individuals and businesses that have supported her restoration along the way.

So, France didn't exactly go to plan - however, it was fantastic demonstration of team work.

Everyone pulled together to get the finish, but it wasn't as easy as we had all presumed it would be.

'European Classic Endurance

Paul Ricard with Alf's Motorcycles

15th - 16th April 2016

I got such a great feeling of camaraderie and fun when having a quick run round on Paul Firth's FZ at the end of 2015 - I thought I'd get one and do a 'race restoration' project using crowd funding and then give it away to one of the 100 contributors - similar to 'Gordon' - to find out more about 'Nancy' as she's now named, click her logo above.

Looking forward to getting back onboard Alf's P&M Kawasaki for the opening round of the European Classic Endurance at Paul Ricard 15th - 17th April, click Alf's logo above to watch the Aragon event video from 2015.

Bonhams Lansdowne Historic British Championship

Round 7 Brands Hatch

4th October

So it was off to Brands to fight for my 5th British Championship title - Duncan Fitchett was still in the frame, Alex Sinclair was out to consolidate his position overall, and then of course there was Mike Russell and Glen English back on track in the mix as well.

It was bound to be an interesting weekend, with a 41 point lead going in, it was technically just a case of me trying to keep myself out of trouble and pick up any points that were going...

I actually really liked it - certainly something different, and once you got your head round that, and stopped expecting it to react like a regular bike, it was very interesting to ride.

Round 4 Castle Combe

I hadn't been to Castle Combe since 2011 with the 848s.

It was good to race with the NG club again, they are friendly and well organised - four of my coaching clients were also racing there so I had plenty to watch when I wasn't actually doing it myself!

A great weekend, racking up more championship points - click on the link on the left for my full report, more photos and the event video.

Bonhams Lansdowne Historic British Championship

Round 3 Oulton Park

My hand was worrying me a bit, as to how it would hold up over the weekend, as it takes quite a bit of power to squeeze those drum brakes you know!
